Welcome to our 2nd Annual Walk/Run With Dalton. Register & donate now to secure your spot. This will be happening over the entire month of August. I chose this month for 2 reasons: is Overdose Awareness Month and August 23rd is Dalton's birthday.

This is a virtual event, so once you register you can go at your own pace. You can Walk or run a little at a time, or do the 5k in one day, it's up to you. We love to get pictures of people enjoying their 5k so send them in regardless if you're walking with your kids, hiking, or even on a treadmill!

Registration is a $25 donation and please register will your correct home address and if you complete the 5k you will get a 5k appreciation bracelet from the Foundation.

ALL funds donated will go toward doing the 2nd birthday cake kits donation to local food pantry, who gives them specifically to families with young children. On Dalton's birthday I take a kit which includes aluminum cake pan & lid, cake mix and icing, pack of candles and information about our foundation and some basic education, all tied up with a bow. Dalton would be 30 this year so I have 30 of all those things to purchase and without you it's just not possible.

National Overdose Awareness Day

Hello, dear family and friends.
I have a small favor to ask, and it would truly mean a lot to me.
Many of you know that I started The Dalton Lee Condra Gift of Kindness Foundation in honor of my son, Dalton. While it began because of our loss, its mission is to help others through addiction awareness, overdose prevention, mental health education, and acts of kindness. Sadly, almost all of us know someone whose life has been touched by addiction, overdose, or mental health struggles.
Right now, my foundation needs the support of everyday people. Without more community involvement, I may have to make the difficult decision to close it. I don't want that to happen, because I know the work we're doing matters.

August is National Overdose Awareness Month, and we have several events planned, including a virtual 5K and a raffle fundraiser. Every dollar raised will help us provide 30 birthday cake kits to our local food pantry for families who may not otherwise be able to celebrate their child's birthday. This project is especially meaningful because Dalton would have celebrated his 30th birthday on August 24.

Let's Make 30 Birthday Cake Kits

I did this last year, which your can watch the video on the past events page. But i decided instead of being sad on his birthday each year that I wanted to do something that would make me & others feel good! So I decided I would make birthday cake kits. I will make one for however old Dalton would be, which is 30 this year!

Each kit includes:

Aluminum cake pan with lid

Cake mix

Icing

Box of candles

Card

Information about our foundation

Basic education about drugs & how to start talking to your kids about it.

Lid placed on and tied up with a pretty bow.

I take these to the local food pantry & donate them. They make sure to give them only to families that come in that have small children.

I depend on donations and fees for events like these can cost troughly about $10, so 30, let's just say I'm going to need your help.

And exciting news is my local tv station is going to come out to the food pantry while I'm dropping the cake kits off to interview me about the kits & the foundation. So, I really want to do this nice. Help if you can.
